Seven Old Salopians met at Worfield Golf Club last Sunday for our very short AGM followed by a two-course lunch.
The Minutes of the AGM will be published on the website in due course.
Post lunch we played a Stableford Competition for The Schofield Salver. Michael Roberts, who was the inaugural winner of this trophy at Hawkstone Park last year, came to defend his title.
We had cloudy but overcast weather and it stayed dry and warm. Worfiled was in good condition, albeit, it needs a bit of rain to help it’s fairways to continue to recover following the drought last year.
Anthony Smith, OSGS President, won The Schofield Salver with James Onions being the runner-up.
James also won Nearest the Pin on the 3rdHole.
Charles Hill won the Longest drive on the 7thHole.
Robert Lanyon won Nearest the Pin on the 13thHole.
Anthony also won Nearest the Pin in 2 shots on the 18thHole.
After the golf we enjoyed Tea & sandwiches in the bar and the Prizes were presented.
Everyone who played would like to thank Oliver Eaton for his generous hospitality and kind permission for hosting this event at Worfield this year.
The final photo shows the whole OS Group with Anthony Smith holding the The Schofield Salver, Michael Roberts in his jacket and Charles Hill wearing his new OSGS Golf T Shirt and Robert Lanyon is his new navy V Neck OSGS Jumper!
