OSGS Visit to Ashridge Golf Club – Bring a Guest Meeting or Sign up as a Single & Hon Sec will find a team for you
Date
Date(s) - Wed, 13 Jul 2022
Location
The OSGS is visiting Ashridge Golf Club, on the border of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, on the edge of the Chiltern Hills and close to London (only 25 minutes from Junction 8 M1 or 25 minutes from Junction 20 M25).
OSGS Members are invited to “Bring a Friend to Play in this Fixture” or to sign up as a solo golfer and be paired up with others. We will play a Team Stableford Competition.
I have moved this Fixture to the Summer to try and encourage more people to play this fabulous course this year. We have twenty four spaces and I am keen to fill them all with either OSGS Members or their guests.
As a result of moving the meeting to the Summer I am afraid that it is a bit more expensive, but still extraordinarily good value with a heavy OSGS subsidy, and we will have lots of prizes on offer too!
The original course architects were Major C K Hutchison, Sir Guy Campbell and Colonel S V Hotchkin who were careful to retain the essence of the stunning parkland with the result that every hole possesses the priceless attribute of unspoilt, natural beauty. The design of individual holes and the skilful bunkering make Ashridge a stunning example of the synergy of both traditional and modern golf architecture.
Ashridge Golf Club is a wonderful venue, set within 350 acres of tranquil surrounds in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The course measures 6,678 yards and with a par of 72. Many visitors say Ashridge has the best greens and best lunch in Hertfordshire.
