Date(s) - Sun, 01 Sep 2019
This fixture is being played at Worfield Golf Club, Near Bridgnorth, Shropshire by kind permission of Oliver Eaton, OS 1986-91.
Oliver has owned Worfield for a number years and invested much time and effort to make it a wonderful course with some excellent Greens – Charles Hill Hon Sec says,”the greens will be as fast as any you will have played this year!”
Nestled in the heart of the Shropshire countryside on the gentle slopes of the former Wyken Estate, 140ft above sea level, the Club benefits from free draining land providing the potential for all year round play. With the feel of an Inland Links course, and established majestic estate trees and gorse shrubs with recently introduced mature native trees protecting the beautiful turf of the fairways, a round at Worfield really is an escape to a rural oasis. And with acres of wildflowers and conservation areas; reintroduced lakes, pools and hedgerows, Worfield is a sanctuary for wildlife too!
This is the 2nd time that this fixture has been played for the Schofield Salver, won in 2018 by Michael Roberts for the first time.
